INTERVENANT
Over the years, Tidjane has led a number of Global public service missions. In 2011, Tidjane was appointed by
Presidents Obama and Sarkozy as chair of the G20 High Level Panel on Infrastructure. Tidjane presented the
Panel’s recommendations to G20 heads of state, together with Bill Gates at the G20 Cannes Summit where they
were adopted. In 2004, Tidjane was appointed by Prime Minister Tony Blair as a member of the Commission for
Africa. He subsequently became a member of the Africa Progress Panel, created by Mr. Kofi Anan where he sat
with President Obasanjo, Robert Rubin and Michel Camdessus. In 2003, he was appointed by President Jacques
Chirac to co-chair the International Working Group on Global Public Goods, alongside President Ernesto Zedillo of
Mexico.
Tidjane is a knight of the French Legion of Honor. He was several times voted most influential black person in the
UK. He was also on the Time 100 list in 2010. He is a member of the Group of 30, a member of the supervisory
board of the Publicis group, a member of the International Olympic Committee. He also serves on the advisory
board of the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society – INSEAD.
Tidjane is a graduate of the École Polytechnique de Paris and the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris
(top of his class). He holds an MBA from INSEAD, with distinction.
